Who Was Wallace R. Davis

Davis Elementary is named after Wallace R. Davis.  As an attorney, Mr. Davis fought for the rights of children.  He started out poor, was an orphan, faced adversity, was a field worker, a factory worker, a janitor, a musician, an attorney, and a well respected leader in Santa Ana and Orange County.  People remember him for all his hard work and achievements, but most of all remember him for his personal warmth and caring.  He said “ Dream big… and once you have that dream, don’t let anyone take it away from you.  You must have faith in tomorrow… we must have faith in you.”
